Nebraska Appointments for Game Commission and State College

Governor Jim Pillen has made several appointments to key positions in Nebraska, including Stephen D. Mossman to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, effective January 16, 2025, pending legislative confirmation. Mossman, an attorney with expertise in natural resources and environmental law, has a long history of public service and involvement in local organizations. Additionally, Pillen is set to select from three nominees for an associate justice seat on the Nebraska Supreme Court following the promotion of Justice Jeffrey Funke to Chief Justice. The nominees are Judges David Bargen, Jason Bergevin, and Lawrence Welch Jr. Furthermore, Connie Edmond has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State College System, starting January 2, 2025, also subject to confirmation. Edmond, who has significant experience in finance and governance, will serve a six-year term.
