In a major crackdown on cybercrime, law enforcement agencies in Hyderabad and Kanpur have arrested several individuals involved in elaborate fraud schemes. Hyderabad police arrested 18 individuals linked to 45 cases in Telangana and 319 nationwide, recovering ₹1.61 crore and seizing multiple fraudulent items. Meanwhile, Kanpur police detained a gang of seven fraudsters known for impersonating officials and using rented bank accounts. In Bengaluru, two delivery boys were apprehended for their roles in a ₹10 crore scam targeting a senior citizen, suspected to be part of a larger Chinese-operated network. These arrests highlight ongoing efforts to combat the increasing threat of cyber fraud, urging the public to exercise caution with personal information online.
