Angels Rally Behind Jo Adell Two HRs to Beat Mariners 8-6
Jo Adell led the Los Angeles Angels to an 8-6 comeback victory over the Seattle Mariners with three hits, including two tape-measure home runs and three RBIs. The Angels rallied after falling behind 4-0, scoring in six consecutive innings for the first time since 2011, highlighted by Adell's powerful hitting surge where he has gone 13 for 32 with five homers and nine RBIs in his last 10 games. Chris Taylor also contributed with a home run and two RBIs, stepping in for the injured Jorge Soler. Meanwhile, Cal Raleigh hit two home runs for the Mariners, extending his major league-leading total to 26, but Seattle suffered their fifth straight loss. The Mariners also lost center fielder Julio Rodriguez to an ankle injury after he was struck by a hard grounder while attempting to steal. Angels closer Kenley Jansen earned his 14th save despite giving up a solo homer in the ninth inning.
