Amazon Launches First Color Kindle Colorsoft

Amazon has launched the Kindle Colorsoft, its first color e-reader, priced at $279.99 and set to ship on October 30, 2024. The device features a 7-inch E Ink Kaleido display with improved technology for enhanced color vibrancy and contrast. It boasts a resolution of 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI for color, supporting various ebook formats and offering 32GB of storage. Users can choose between standard and vibrant color modes, with capabilities for color-coded highlighting and zooming in on images without pixelation. The Colorsoft is also waterproof, supports wireless charging, and features an auto-adjusting front light for optimal reading in different conditions.
