Over 1,500 Compete at California CIF Track Meet

The California CIF State Track and Field Championships drew over 1,500 athletes and 10,000 fans, with Carlsbad twins Morgan and Makenna Herbst breaking records and posting national-leading marks in their events. Across the country, high school and collegiate athletes are in the spotlight, including Hope Julian, who is transferring from South Rowan to Forsyth Country Day after a standout freshman season. In Erie, local high school athletes are competing for Athlete of the Year honors and a $2,500 scholarship.
