Three Foreign Nationals Charged in Virginia Walmart Armed Abduction, Robbery

Three foreign nationals—Luis Felipe Garcia Baez from Mexico, and Claudia Teresa Aldana Restrepo and Elisa Andrea Espitia Campos from Colombia—have been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly abducting a woman at gunpoint from a Walmart parking lot in Culpeper, Virginia. The suspects forced the victim to drive to an ATM and then to her home in Orange County, where they stole cash and personal belongings before fleeing. The victim was not physically harmed and is receiving support services. The suspects were apprehended after their vehicle was identified through the Flock automated license plate reader system, leading to their arrest in King George County. They face charges including felony robbery with a firearm, felony abduction by force, and felony conspiracy to commit robbery, and are being held without bond. Culpeper Police Chief Chris Settle emphasized the significant impact on the community's sense of safety and the effective use of technology combined with traditional police work in capturing the suspects.
