FX Releases Trailer for Ethan Hawke's Tulsa Corruption Series
FX's upcoming noir series The Lowdown stars Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon, a self-proclaimed "truthstorian" and investigative journalist in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who becomes entangled in dangerous corruption surrounding the powerful Washberg family. Created by Sterlin Harjo, known for Reservation Dogs, the series follows Lee as he digs into the suspicious suicide of Dale Washberg, uncovering hidden motives and powerful forces intent on stopping him. The show also explores Lee's strained personal life, including his relationship with his curious 14-year-old daughter Francis and ex-partner Samantha, who worries about his relentless digging. The ensemble cast includes Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, and Keith David, among others. The Lowdown, described as a "Tulsa Noir" thriller with some dark humor and a 70s vibe, will premiere on FX on Hulu on September 23, releasing two episodes at 9 PM ET/PT, with subsequent episodes airing weekly. The series promises a gritty, character-driven story with Lee often facing physical danger as he seeks to expose the city's corruption.
