A family of five was assaulted by 10 restaurant staff members at Grand Hotel in Abids, Hyderabad, after they complained about the quality of their biryani and slapped a waiter. The staff members, who attacked the customers with sticks and chairs, have been charged with Sections 324, 506 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and were later released on bail. The incident, which was captured on camera and went viral on social media, prompted the police to arrest the involved staff members and shut down the restaurant.
