Two Tourists Die After Hostel Fumigation in Sri Lanka

Two tourists, Ebony McIntosh, 24, from Britain, and Nadine Raguse, 26, from Germany, died after staying at the Miracle Colombo City Hostel in Sri Lanka, where authorities suspect toxic pesticides used for fumigation may have caused their fatalities. Ebony fell ill with vomiting, nausea, and breathing difficulties following the fumigation of an adjacent room, and she died shortly after being admitted to the hospital. Sri Lanka police are investigating the case, focusing on the possibility of poisoning by noxious substances. The hostel has been closed while the investigation is ongoing, and a post-mortem for Ebony is scheduled after her family arrives in Sri Lanka.
