Twin Brothers Die in Arlington Memorial Bridge Crash

Twin brothers Jerod and Jerel Wert tragically died after their truck collided with another vehicle and plunged into the icy Potomac River from the Arlington Memorial Bridge. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on January 16, while the brothers were en route to a job in Washington, D.C. Jerod, an HVAC mechanic, was driving, while Jerel, a carpenter, was in the passenger seat. Dashcam footage captured the truck clipping another vehicle, veering out of control, and crashing into the river. Emergency crews faced challenging conditions due to freezing temperatures and a frozen river, delaying rescue operations. The U.S. Park Police have launched an investigation to determine the crash's cause.
