The 20-year-old South African tied the course record and is now at 16-under 126 after 36 holes, powered by ten birdies during his bogey-free round. Despite facing challenges on the back nine, including a tee shot into the water, he salvaged a par on the 10th and maintained momentum with strong putting, including seven makes from 10 feet or longer. Potgieter, who became the youngest player to win on the Korn Ferry Tour at 19, expressed confidence in his game, stating the course suits him well. He aims to continue his strong play as he seeks his first PGA Tour title. Competing closely behind him are Stephan Jaeger and Brian Campbell, both eager to narrow the gap.
