Silversea Cruises is set to enhance its Antarctic expedition experience by constructing a new 150-room hotel in Puerto Williams, Chile, the southernmost city on Earth, with completion expected by late 2025. This hotel will streamline logistics for guests traveling via Silversea's Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program, allowing them to bypass the lengthy Drake Passage sailing. The facility aims to provide a seamless journey, featuring amenities such as a large restaurant, bar, fitness center, and local artisan gift shop, while also fostering community among guests. Silversea President Bert Hernandez emphasized that the hotel will differentiate the cruise line from other polar operators by offering a centralized location for guests prior to their Antarctic voyages.
