Trenton Pastor Charged with Drugging, Sexually Assaulting Teen

Charles B. Brinson, a 64-year-old pastor from Trenton, NJ, has been arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly drugging and molesting a 16-year-old victim. The incidents reportedly occurred on two separate occasions in January and February 2024, where Brinson allegedly administered an unknown substance to the victim, causing them to lose consciousness before the assaults at his home. Brinson, who serves as the bishop of Brinson Memorial Church, has a previous record from 2008 involving similar charges with a 15-year-old boy, for which he was convicted and placed on probation. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office and Trenton Police Department are conducting the ongoing investigation, and a motion has been filed to detain Brinson pending trial. Authorities are encouraging anyone with additional information to come forward as they continue to investigate the possibility of other victims.
