Shell UK Awards $120 Million Contract Extension to Wood
Shell UK has awarded a $120 million contract extension to Wood for brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services over a two-year period. This extension includes work on both onshore and offshore assets, notably at the Shell-operated St Fergus and Mossmorran terminals, as well as the Nelson, Gannet, and Shearwater offshore sites. Additionally, Wood will now provide EPC services for the Penguins Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit, which has recently resumed production. Approximately 240 employees from Wood will support this project, reflecting the long-standing partnership between Shell and Wood. CEO Ken Gilmartin highlighted the importance of delivering safe and reliable energy supply through this contract. Wood originally secured the EPC contract for these assets in 2021.
