Starz to acquire 'Sweetpea'

Starz has acquired the U.S. and Canada rights to the series 'Sweetpea,' a darkly comic and twisted thriller starring Ella Purnell, who plays Rhiannon, a woman developing a taste for murder after being pushed over the edge. The show, set to debut in 2024, is a boundary-breaking narrative of revenge produced by See-Saw Films and Fanboy. Alongside Purnell, the series features a talented ensemble cast including Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing, and Calam Lynch. Based on C.J. Skuse's novel, the storyline follows Rhiannon's transformation into a powerful figure capable of anything, posing the question of whether she can maintain her killer secret.
