Mossgiel Farm Launches £272 Flat White Coffee

Mossgiel Farm in Mauchline, East Ayrshire, has launched the UK’s most expensive coffee, a £272 flat white, available at 13 cafes starting November 23. The drink, which consists of espresso and steamed milk from the farm, includes 34 shares in Mossgiel Farm, turning customers into investors in sustainable dairy farming. Owner Bryce Cunningham aims to raise £300,000 to build a zero-waste dairy facility, emphasizing that the high price reflects a commitment to revolutionizing the industry and promoting sustainability. Previously, the most expensive coffee was priced at £265 and served in Mayfair, London. Cunningham highlights that this initiative encourages consumers to reconsider the value of sustainable farming practices, noting that it costs nearly 80 times the average flat white in the UK. The farm has already raised over £118,000 toward its crowdfunding goal, advocating for a future free from single-use plastics and improved animal welfare.
