Ukraine Plans to Deploy Own Missiles by 2025

Ukraine is set to develop and deploy its own ballistic and cruise missiles by mid-2025, as indicated by Oleksiy Petrov, the director of Spetstechnoexport. The initiative follows a long-standing request for allies to lift bans on strikes against Russian military targets. Successful flight tests of new Ukrainian missiles have already been conducted, suggesting rapid progress in their capabilities. Additionally, Ukraine's Hrim-2 missile, capable of striking targets up to 300 miles away, could potentially reach Moscow, according to Yehor Chernev, chairman of Ukraine’s NATO delegation. Meanwhile, the U.S. plans to enhance Taiwan's defense with weapons tested in Ukraine, such as NASAMS, amidst increasing military pressure from China. This arms sale is part of a broader strategy to improve regional security and balance military capabilities in the Indo-Pacific.
