Maryland Man Dinari McAlmont Found Dead at Bahamas Resort
Dinari McAlmont, a 23-year-old tourist from Maryland, was found dead on a beach in the Bahamas shortly after arriving with his parents for a vacation at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort. Authorities reported that he died from drowning, while his mother believes he was beaten before his death, citing disturbing signs on his body. McAlmont had left his family during dinner to retrieve a jacket and was last seen around 9 PM; his body was discovered around 5:30 AM the next morning. Reports indicate that prior to his disappearance, he was involved in an incident at the resort where he allegedly spat on restaurant staff, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding his death. The Royal Bahamas Police Force is conducting an investigation, but foul play is not currently suspected. The State Department has issued a Level 2 Travel Advisory for the Bahamas, urging travelers to be aware of safety risks.
