Dómhnal Slattery Reappointed Chairman of Vertical Aerospace

Vertical Aerospace has reappointed Dómhnal Slattery as Chairman of its Board of Directors, a role he previously held from January 2022 to August 2023. His return comes as the company aims to strengthen its leadership in the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sector, aligning with its Flightpath 2030 strategy. Slattery's experience includes founding Avolon and SMBC Aviation, both significant players in aircraft leasing, and he has been recognized for his contributions to the aviation industry. Under his past leadership, Vertical expanded its order book and successfully listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company recently secured $180 million in funding, further bolstering its financial position and progress towards zero-emission air travel. Stephen Welch, the outgoing chairman, will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
