El Mayo Zambada Claims Kidnapping by Guzmán López

Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, a prominent Mexican drug cartel leader, claims he was ambushed and forcibly taken to the United States by Joaquín Guzmán López, the son of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán. According to Zambada's letter, he was lured under the pretense of meeting with Sinaloa Governor Rubén Rocha Moya and other local politicians, only to be kidnapped and flown to the US. The US ambassador to Mexico confirmed that Zambada arrived in Texas in July against his will. Governor Rocha has denied any involvement, asserting he was in Los Angeles at the time. The incident has raised suspicions about potential links between drug traffickers and politicians in Sinaloa. Both Zambada and Guzmán López have pleaded not guilty to drug-trafficking charges in US court.
