Air India, Lufthansa Expand Codeshare to Nearly 100 Routes

Air India has significantly expanded its partnership with Lufthansa Group, enhancing their codeshare agreement to include nearly 100 routes, up from 55. This collaboration introduces almost 60 new codeshare routes between 12 Indian cities and 26 European cities, including a new agreement with Austrian Airlines. Passengers will benefit from improved connectivity, with Air India now offering access to 26 European cities and three destinations in the Americas, while Lufthansa Group customers can connect to services from 15 Indian cities. The expansion aims to provide greater choice and convenience for travelers, with seamless booking options and enhanced travel experiences. The agreement is pending regulatory approvals, and both airlines plan to progressively make the new codeshare flights available for sale. The partnership reflects a commitment to strengthening travel links between the Indian Subcontinent and Europe.
