Ohio State Rout Penn State; Hockey Provides Bright Spot
Penn State's football team lost 38-14 at Ohio State in Columbus, dropping the Nittany Lions to 3-5 (0-5 Big Ten) while Ohio State improved to 8-0 (5-0 Big Ten). Buckeye freshman Julian Sayin completed 20 of 23 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns as Ohio State outgained Penn State by nearly 300 yards. The loss was Penn State's fifth straight following the firing of head coach James Franklin and intensified criticism of defensive coordinator Jim Knowles after allowing 38 points. The raucous crowd celebrated Ohio State and jeered Knowles amid notable sideline moments. Separately, Penn State's men's hockey team beat Ohio State 3-2 in a recent game, serving as a bright spot for the program amid the football struggles.
