The six-time champion underwent surgery for a deep laceration and has been undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and physiotherapy to aid his recovery. Although he admits he is not fully recovered, Rea is eager to get back on his Yamaha Pata Prometeon bike, expressing disappointment at missing his first race due to injury since 2013. He emphasized the importance of understanding the new track surface and preparing for optimal tire performance. Rea currently sits 12th in the World Superbike standings with three rounds remaining in the season. His return is highly anticipated, as he has a history of success at Aragon.
