India Names Squad for Vietnam Football Tournament

Indian senior men's football team head coach Manolo Marquez has announced a 26-member probables list for the upcoming Tri-Nation friendly tournament in Vietnam, scheduled for October 9 and 12. The Blue Tigers will face Vietnam and Lebanon at the Thiên Trường Stadium in Nam Định. A final squad of 23 players will be confirmed before the team's departure. The preliminary list includes notable players such as Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Vishal Kaith, and Farukh Chaudhary, alongside first-time call-ups for youngsters Lalrinliana Hnamte and Aakash Sangwan. This announcement follows a disappointing performance in the Intercontinental Cup, where India struggled to score. The team is currently ranked 126th, just ahead of Malaysia, which they will face in a friendly match on November 19.
