Suspect Arrested in Las Vegas Stabbing

Daryl Patton, 29, was arrested in Las Vegas by the U.S. Marshals on Thursday for the murder of Martin Johnson, 27, in Cleveland back in January. Patton, identified as a suspect in the shooting on East 95th Street and Pratt Avenue, fled Ohio and was apprehended in a Las Vegas apartment after a nationwide manhunt led by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. Separately, Jose Escamilla, 33, was arrested in Las Vegas for a fatal stabbing incident on East Lake Mead Boulevard. Escamilla allegedly engaged in a fight with the victim, resulting in multiple stab wounds, before fleeing the scene. He was apprehended the following day and is facing charges of open murder and battery with a deadly weapon. Both cases highlight the effectiveness of law enforcement collaboration across state lines.
