Multiple Individuals Charged with Child Rape, Domestic Sexual Violence in July

In July 2025, multiple disturbing cases of sexual violence and rape were reported in Fiji and Nuneaton, UK, involving victims as young as five years old and perpetrators ranging from minors to older adults. The Fiji Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) revealed several indictments involving rape and sexual assault within families and domestic relationships, including cases of a 13-year-old boy charged with raping a 5-year-old girl and several other cases involving relatives and neighbors. In Nuneaton, two 23-year-old men, Ahmad Mulakhil and Mohammad Kabir, were charged with the rape of a 12-year-old girl, with Kabir also charged with kidnap and strangulation; both appeared in court and are scheduled for further hearings. Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch alleged the men were asylum seekers, accusing local authorities and the Home Office of withholding their immigration status, though these claims remain unverified. The Home Office emphasized that foreign nationals committing crimes will face justice, and police urged witnesses from the incident area to come forward.
