Teledyne FLIR Secures $7.8M Surveillance Contract in Saudi Arabia

Teledyne FLIR Defense has secured a $7.8 million contract with Middle East Task Company (METCO) to supply its advanced Lightweight Vehicle Surveillance System (LVSS) to a key military entity in Saudi Arabia. The LVSS is designed for rapid deployment and features cutting-edge thermal imaging and radar technology capable of tracking up to 500 targets over distances exceeding 10 miles. The agreement also includes mission support equipment and training, though specific quantities have not been disclosed. Delivery of the LVSS systems is expected by the end of 2025, with the collaboration indicating potential for future contracts in the region. Stan Crawford from Teledyne FLIR highlighted the platform's capability to enhance security for critical installations and personnel.
