Roma plans loan move for Liverpool defender Tsimikas

Serie A club Roma is actively pursuing Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas as a potential deputy for their current first-choice left wing-back Angelino, especially with Salah-Eddine expected to depart. Roma has initiated formal talks with Liverpool about acquiring Tsimikas, favoring a loan deal with an option to buy, though Liverpool prefers a permanent transfer instead. Despite Tsimikas' expressed happiness at Liverpool, the club sees no need for three left-backs following Milos Kerkez's arrival, making the Greek defender available for transfer. Other clubs like Nottingham Forest, Valencia, and Lille have shown interest, but Roma appears close to securing his services for the 2025/26 season. Tsimikas, who joined Liverpool in 2020 and played 115 games, has mostly been a backup to Andy Robertson and is seeking more regular playing time. Both clubs are expected to finalize an agreement soon, with Roma aiming to strengthen their left side for the upcoming campaign.
