Stone Point Closes $11.5B Trident X Flagship Fund

Stone Point Capital has successfully closed its 10th flagship private equity fund, Trident X, with $11.5 billion in total commitments, surpassing its original $9 billion target and hard cap. This fund is approximately $2.5 billion larger than its predecessor, Trident IX, which closed in 2022. Trident X, which began its investment period in May 2025, focuses on the financial services sector and has completed one investment to date in Ultimus Fund Solutions, a provider of fund administration services. The firm and its affiliates contributed $750 million to the fund, reflecting strong support from existing and new institutional investors globally. Stone Point Capital has over 30 years of experience and has invested in more than 160 companies across over 70 sub-sectors within financial services. Leadership emphasized their consistent strategy and extensive network as key advantages in sourcing investments and creating value for investors.
