Norwegian Aqua Launches Maiden Voyage from Lisbon to Southampton

Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ship, Norwegian Aqua, has embarked on its maiden voyage from Lisbon to Southampton, welcoming over 2,000 invited guests to experience its innovative offerings. This voyage marks the first of a five-part inaugural series, culminating in an official christening in Miami on April 13, 2025, where Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet will serve as godfather. Norwegian Aqua, the first vessel in the Prima Plus Class, features unique attractions such as the Aqua Slidecoaster, a hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, and the Glow Court, an interactive sports complex. The ship boasts 17 dining options, including a new plant-based eatery, and entertainment highlights like 'Revolution: A Celebration of Prince.' Norwegian Cruise Line aims to provide guests with more immersive experiences, emphasizing spacious designs and elevated culinary offerings. The ship will eventually homeport in Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York City for cruises to various destinations.
