2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards Set for May 25 in Tokyo

The ninth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards will take place on May 25 at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa in Tokyo, featuring a diverse lineup of presenters including pop stars Damiano David and Rina Sawayama, as well as actors from 'Stranger Things.' Hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira, the ceremony will be livestreamed globally, allowing fans to vote for their favorites until April 14. This year's Anime of the Year nominees include 'Dan Da Dan,' 'Delicious in Dungeon,' and 'Kaiju No. 8,' among others, collectively representing over 50 series and films from more than 35 studios. The awards have expanded to include new categories such as Best Background Art and Best Hindi Voice Artist, reflecting an evolving recognition of the anime community. Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini emphasized the emotional connection fans have with anime and the importance of honoring the creative talents behind their favorite series.
