Motorcyclist in 70s dies in A65 collision near Ingleton

A man in his 70s died following a collision between his white BMW motorbike and a Peugeot Partner van on the A65 near Ingleton, on the North Yorkshire and Lancashire border. The incident occurred shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, April 15, and despite the efforts of the public and emergency services, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. North Yorkshire Police confirmed the man's family is being supported by specially trained officers, and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area to come forward. No arrests have been made in connection with the crash as investigations continue.
