Penguins Acquire Cody Glass, Boost Draft Picks

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Cody Glass, along with a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick, from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Jordan Frasca. Glass, 25, was originally the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights and has recorded 71 points in 187 NHL games. He had a standout season in 2022-23 with 35 points but struggled last season with only 13 points in 41 games and did not play in the playoffs. The Penguins also completed a separate trade with the St. Louis Blues, exchanging future draft picks, which leaves them with three third-round picks in the 2025 NHL Draft. This series of moves adds depth and young talent to the Penguins' roster, though they remain close to the salary cap limit. The Penguins' season opener is set for October 9 against the New York Rangers.
