Louisville Pilot Found Dead Near Bahamas

Chris Moore, a 59-year-old pilot from Louisville, Kentucky, was found dead after his plane went missing en route from Sebastian, Florida to Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. Moore, flying a single-engine Bristell plane, was last heard from on Sunday, and his plane was found three days later by private searchers. The U.S. Coast Guard and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force initially conducted a search covering nearly 1,800 square miles but suspended it due to lack of findings. Moore's wife, Stacye Love, confirmed he died on impact and expressed gratitude for the support received during the search. Moore, an experienced pilot with nine years of flying, was known for his kindness and passion for aviation.
