NCP leader Nawab Malik's son-in-law, Sameer Khan, sustained critical injuries after his driver, Abdul Ansari, accidentally accelerated instead of braking, crashing the SUV into Khan outside Criticare Hospital in Kurla, Mumbai. The accident occurred around 11 am on Tuesday when Khan and his wife were waiting for their car following a routine check-up. Khan was dragged and pinned between the car and a boundary wall, resulting in a brain clot and multiple fractures. He has undergone two surgeries and remains under observation in the ICU. Nilofar, Khan's wife, escaped with minor injuries. Police have booked Ansari for rash driving but have not arrested him, ruling out foul play.
