Sony Reveals Wireless PlayStation Fight Stick, Marvel Fighter for 2026

Sony has announced Project Defiant, its first official wireless arcade fight stick designed for PlayStation 5 and PC, set for release in 2026. The controller features ultra-low latency wireless connectivity via PlayStation Link technology, with a wired USB-C option for those who prefer a direct connection. It includes a custom-designed digital joystick with toolless interchangeable restrictor gates (square, circle, and octagon), mechanical switch buttons, a touchpad similar to the DualSense controller, and a storage compartment for accessories. Project Defiant also supports waking up the PS5 from sleep mode via its PS Button and includes a carrying case for portability. This announcement coincided with the reveal of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a new 4v4 Marvel tag team fighting game developed by PlayStation Studios, Marvel Games, and Arc System Works, emphasizing accessible gameplay that allows mastering just one character for diverse team battle strategies.
