Kyren Lacy Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Kyren Lacy, a former LSU wide receiver and NFL draft hopeful, was arrested on January 12 after being charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle in connection with a fatal car crash that occurred on December 17. The crash resulted in the death of 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former Marine, and left two others injured. Lacy allegedly fled the scene without providing aid or reporting the incident, later turning himself in to authorities. He was released on a $151,000 bond, but the charges could jeopardize his NFL prospects, as he had recently declared for the 2025 draft. Attorney Digger Earles, representing Hall's family, emphasized the tragedy of the situation and their intention to seek justice. LSU has refrained from commenting, citing respect for the ongoing legal process.
