Multiple Events Planned for MLK Day 2025

Several events are being organized across the nation to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy in January 2025. In Shreveport-Bossier, the inaugural 318 MLK DreamFest will take place from January 15 to February 17, featuring cultural celebrations and community engagement, including a film about the Civil Rights Movement and a family resource fair. Maryland will host the 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Banquet on January 15, celebrating local leaders and raising funds for a monument honoring Parren J. Mitchell. Additionally, Ivy Tech Community College will hold a 'Living the Dream' breakfast on January 20, featuring notable speakers and community participation. Meanwhile, the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles will perform a concert honoring MLK's commitment to civil rights, showcasing the talents of young musicians in the community.
