Wakama, who gained international recognition after leading Nigeria’s D’Tigress to a historic quarterfinal appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is expected to bring a wealth of experience and a winning mindset to the team. Her coaching career includes notable achievements, such as winning the Women’s AfroBasket title shortly after her appointment as head coach in June 2023. In her new role, Wakama aims to contribute to a competitive and entertaining brand of basketball.
