Handcuffed woman steals LAPD SUV
A woman suspected of vandalizing a Porsche SUV in Hollywood was arrested by LAPD officers late Monday night, handcuffed, and placed in a patrol car, but managed to steal the vehicle and escape. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. near Franklin and Orchid avenues, after which the woman, described as approximately 35 years old and wearing a gray Raiders hoodie and jeans, drove the patrol SUV a short distance before abandoning it at Camrose and Paramount drives in the Hollywood Hills. Despite a police search of the area, the suspect remains at large and is believed to still be in handcuffs. The LAPD has not clarified how the woman managed to commandeer the vehicle, and details about the initial arrest circumstances remain unclear. No injuries or additional damages were reported during the incident. The search for the suspect continues as of Tuesday morning.
