Deion Sanders Cancer-Free After Complete Bladder Removal

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders revealed he was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer earlier this year and underwent complete bladder removal surgery due to a high risk of recurrence with less invasive treatments. Sanders is now cancer-free, but continues to face health challenges including significant weight loss and urinary incontinence, which he has discussed publicly to reduce stigma. He kept his diagnosis private from his family and team until a recent press conference, where he affirmed his commitment to continue coaching for the upcoming season. Despite missing some team activities during his recovery, Sanders has returned to campus to prepare for the Buffaloes' 2025 season.
