Mia Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, revealed on the 'Sibling Revelry' podcast that her father wrapped scarves around his microphones not for fashion, but to hide pills and other substances during performances. She stated that he had custom pockets sewn into his clothing for easy access while on stage. Steven Tyler, 77, has struggled with substance abuse, including a relapse after ten years of sobriety in 2022, which led to his entry into rehab and the cancellation of Aerosmith's tour dates. The band had announced his treatment following a necessary foot surgery that required pain management. Despite his struggles, Tyler has previously shared that sobriety revealed the true essence of his artistry, contrasting with his drug use. Following a vocal cord injury, Aerosmith ultimately retired from touring in August 2024.
