Reedley Man Kills Wife, Dies in Tulare County Deputies Shootout

Michael Rocha, a 43-year-old man from Reedley, California, was involved in a fatal domestic incident on Saturday night where he allegedly shot and killed his wife, Yesennia Rocha, in front of their children and other family members. After the shooting, Rocha fled the scene in a Chevy pickup truck, leading to a manhunt by law enforcement. The next day, deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff's Office located Rocha in the Woodlake area and pursued him. During the pursuit and subsequent confrontation near Road 222 and Avenue 340, Rocha fired a rifle at deputies, who returned fire and fatally shot him. The Visalia Police Department is currently investigating the officer-involved shooting, while the Reedley Police Department continues to investigate the initial homicide. Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting, and the victim's identity was confirmed through social media reports, though official sources withheld it.
