New York Sirens Defeat Montreal Victoire 4-1

Sarah Fillier, the top draft pick for the New York Sirens, made a significant impact in her Professional Women's Hockey League debut by scoring two goals and assisting on the game-winner in a 4-1 victory over the Montreal Victoire. Alex Carpenter contributed with a goal, while Jade Downie-Landry added an empty-netter. Fillier's first goal came just over 11 minutes into the first period, and she capped off her performance by scoring again with 18 seconds remaining. Montreal's Cayla Barnes also made her mark by scoring her first PWHL goal, but the team struggled offensively throughout the match. Despite this loss, the Victoire had previously dominated the season series against the Sirens. The Sirens are set to continue their road trip against the Boston Fleet, while the Victoire will face the Ottawa Charge next.
