Sophie Turner, Kit Harington Reunite as Lovers in Gothic Horror Film

Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, best known for their roles as siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, are reuniting in the gothic horror film The Dreadful, set during the 15th-century Wars of the Roses. In a surprising twist for fans, the actors portray romantic partners rather than siblings, a dynamic Turner described as "really weird for all of us." Directed by Natasha Kermani, the film explores psychological suspense and period atmosphere, with Turner playing Anne and Harington as Jago, a figure from her past. Turner has expressed excitement about working with Harington again and credited Game of Thrones for shaping her professional approach, including business decisions and on-set etiquette. The Dreadful, a remake of the Japanese horror Onibaba, completed filming in January 2025, though its release date is yet to be announced. Alongside this project, Turner is also preparing for other roles, including starring as Lara Croft in an upcoming Amazon Prime Video series written and executive produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
