Drone Attack on Eilat Causes Fires, Injuries

Two drones launched by the Iran-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the southern Israeli port city of Eilat on Wednesday night. One drone was intercepted by an Israeli Navy warship, while the other exploded in the port area, causing damage and lightly injuring two civilians, who did not require hospitalization. The attack led to fires in parts of the port and near Herod's Hotel, which were quickly managed by firefighters. This strike is part of ongoing hostilities involving pro-Iranian militias since the onset of the Gaza war. The IDF confirmed the incident and noted that sirens were sounded as a precaution before the drones were intercepted and impacted.
