Truong My Lan, a prominent Vietnamese real estate mogul, has been sentenced to life in prison for fraudulently obtaining property valued at billions of dollars, which is part of the government's extensive crackdown on corruption. Previously, she was sentenced to death for a separate fraud case amounting to $12.5 billion, nearly 3% of Vietnam's GDP.
