Christian Barmore Accuses Providence Police of Racism

Barmore described the police interaction as 'unprofessional' and claimed that he experienced 'racism at its finest,' while police reports noted his aggressive behavior during the stop. The Providence Police stated that the stop was routine and that officers acted within their protocols, mentioning Barmore's tinted windows and a license plate cover as contributing factors to the stop. They also stated that Barmore initially 'slow rolled' before finally stopping and attempted to conceal items under his seat, which resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. Police Chief Oscar Perez emphasized that the department takes public concerns seriously and intends to review the incident for compliance with procedures. Barmore, who is currently on injured reserve, has yet to play this season due to health issues.
