Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has dismissed Health Minister Vili Beros following his arrest during a police raid on suspicion of corruption. The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) is investigating Beros and seven others, including hospital directors in Zagreb, for alleged bribery, abuse of authority, and money laundering linked to manipulating procurement processes for medical robotic devices at inflated prices. Plenkovic highlighted the government's commitment to accountability, stating it will not shield anyone from investigation. Beros denies any criminal responsibility, according to his lawyer, Laura Valkovic. Irena Hrstić, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, will temporarily replace Beros until a new minister is appointed.
