Erie man killed in crash
Two fatal motor vehicle accidents occurred over the weekend in different locations. In Wayne, Pennsylvania, 67-year-old Thomas Sutton died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a blue Ford Escape that turned into his path; the accident is under investigation with no charges filed yet. Meanwhile, in Erie Township, Michigan, Eddie C. Dillard, 59, died when his truck struck two disabled vehicles on I-75, leading to his truck overturning; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The other involved drivers, Cianna Rook and Sauedio Wertz, were hospitalized but are in stable condition. In a separate incident in Etowah County, Alabama, 35-year-old Douglas Loveless was killed in a single-vehicle crash after his car hit a tree and embankment; he was ejected from the vehicle as he was not wearing a seatbelt. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
